Okay, Let's Be Predictable: "Merry Christmas!

Now that that's out of the way:

I am so sorry that I haven't been around much lately. Well, actually, I HAVE been around. I just haven't been able to upload anything in ages because my computer had a bit of a mid-life crisis and the CD drive got depressed therefore the entire thing ran away to join the circus. In short, I have been doing absolutely ZILCH for the past three weeks of my holidays.

Actually, that is not strictly true. I completed a dedication for my beloved DarkHatBoy :icondarkhatboy:
And I have been sketching a bit ... nothing incredibly impressive, though. I think I've mastered my own style as much as I can at this stage, however, I still suck at coloring in Photoshop because I've had absolutely no practice at it because all forms of technology (even those closest to my heart) despise me and my guts.

Anywho, I'm gonna stop this pathetic winging - that I tend to drown you all in, I'm sorry about that - by drowning my sorrows in Vanilla Custard and snarfing down a few mince pies (made by my wonderful grandpa).

Umm . . .
I am 15 and I live in NSW Australia (no, we don't ride to school on kangaroos). I started copying manga/anime drawings the year before last and I have been practicing since.

I do Ballet and Jazz for a total of 5hrs per week and Hockey for 5hrs per week (although the season just ended so I have to find another sport) and School forty-five minutes away from me (one-way, you work out the travel time)for 30hrs per week. I also play the piano.

Photography and digital art is another interest of mine, even though I am rubbish at it. But I'm going to try and get better, just like I am in manga. I guess I've developed my own style because I really don't know what to call it.

I am extremely long-winded (as you can probably tell from this ... whatever this is) and like to babble, even if no one is listening.

Post-modern art is my favourite type, I believe. I really think that every piece of contemporary art must have some sort of meaning behind it. What is the point of wasting three hundred blood capsules on a collection of art is it doesn't have a purpose you are passionate about?

I'm also a hipocrit. ;)

My school diary is my main output of creative energy. My teachers think it is cool, which works for me because I don't have time for detentions.

I am completely and utterly computer-illiterate, which explains my lack of digital-art-making skills. Bear with me whilst I struggle to maintain a semi-descent website here!

One thing I couldn't live without (besides art) is music. My favourite artists range from Jason Mraz to Lady Gaga, AFI to Seether, Eric Hutchinson to Avril Lavigne, ELO to Bloc Party, to Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park, Madness, Mika, Pink Floyd, The Presets, Robbie Williams, NIN, Pnau, Kate Nash, Elvis, Crash Test Dummies, Cold Play, Evermore, The Bee Gees . . . anything except country music!

Finally, I have browny-blonde hair that is incredibly confuzzled curly that deflates after a few hours to a stubborn frizz, very blue eyes and white skin with freckles that sometimes are camoflaged by a raging blush I just cannot control. :P Ick, but I live life ignoring mirrors which can't REALLY be a bad thing, can it?
